DONATION:

Donations of pet supplied for the Union County Animal Response Team also known as CART. While there are shelters for residents of Union County, a CART is deployed in response to emergencies where animals need to be sheltered. During Hurricane Katrina 44 percent of people that were killed by the storm were people that were returning to their homes to rescue their animals. With the right supplies and equipment the Union County CART can make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their owners by assuring them both proper shelter during an emergency.

This is a list of supplies we can use:

·         Litter      ·         Disposable plates and bowls

Wee-wee pads (animal or human)   ·         Scoops

Tarps      •         Paper towels

·         Leashes and collars    •         Crates or carriers

·         Flea treatment     ·         Litter boxes

Eligibility

Any Certified School Nurse engaged in school nursing in Union County is eligible for membership.

Meetings

Union County School Nurses Association has 3 annual dinner meetings in fall, winter, and spring of each school  year. Additional educational opportunities are provided on current issues  in school nursing and health throughout the school year.  Professional development hours are awarded.
